Desired Qualities and Experience:
- Current or eligible Special Education teaching certification
- Previous experience working with students from Pre-School to Grade 12
- Strong background in differentiated instruction, including individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Familiarity with a range of grade-level curriculum frameworks, including Math
- Flexibility to adapt to varying classroom settings and student requirements
- Excellent communication skills, with an empathetic and collaborative approach
- Passion for supporting and advocating for students with diverse learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with IEP goals and state standards
- Provide direct instruction in math and other core subjects across multiple grade levels
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Track and assess student growth, documenting progress toward academic and behavioral objectives
- Modify and adapt resources to meet students’ unique learning styles
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that enables all students to thrive
