Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education (SPED) teaching license
- Alternatively, candidates with a General Education background and relevant SPED experience are encouraged to apply
- If holding a General Education PELSB License Tier 2 - Tier 4, you may be eligible to complete an “out of field” form to serve as a Special Education Teacher for this term
- Dedication to working with students with a variety of needs, fostering a positive learning environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Prior experience in a charter school setting is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction to K-6 students with special needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state requirements
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers and support staff
- Engage with families to build supportive relationships and maintain regular communication
- Maintain accurate records and participate in all required meetings and training sessions
