This contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and extends through June 11, 2027, with both full-time and part-time positions open. Available positions include:
- Full-time roles at RiverEast Day School and Highland Park Middle School, each with approximately 20-student caseloads and support from paraprofessionals and BEH aides.
- Part-time opportunities at Highland Park Elementary and an additional school (location to be confirmed), ranging from 2-3 days per week.
- An additional early childhood position involving home visits.
Ideal candidates will have:
- An active Minnesota teaching license with experience in or a strong commitment to special education.
- Background supporting students with a range of academic, behavioral, and developmental needs.
- Passion for collaborative work with fellow educators, paraprofessionals, and families.
- Flexibility to adapt to multiple school environments or provide early childhood home-based services.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Assessing student abilities and progress.
- Collaborating with parents, specialists, and district staff.
- Creating an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.
- Participating in meetings, professional development, and school activities.
