Qualifications:
- Current and active Ohio Intervention Specialist certification is required
- Previous experience teaching or working with students in special education preferred
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to develop and adapt individualized learning plans
- Prepared to serve a varied population across grades K-12
- Collaborative spirit and enthusiasm for school-based teamwork
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to K-12 students with diverse learning needs
- Develop, implement, and evaluate Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Work closely with general education teachers, administrators, and families to advocate for students
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Document student growth, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Support social, behavioral, and academic development in alignment with school policies
