Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification with a specialization in Special Education
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly grades 3-5
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage diverse learning needs with patience and creativity
- Familiarity with inclusive classroom practices
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute individualized lesson plans based on student abilities and goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure students receive the support they need
- Monitor student progress, update IEPs, and participate in meetings as required
- Create a positive classroom environment encouraging student participation and confidence
- Adapt instructional methods to accommodate a variety of learning styles
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures
