Key Qualifications:
- Current Multi-Categorical Special Education certification valid in South Carolina
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged students in a self-contained or special education setting preferred

- Adaptability, patience, and dedication to cultivating an inclusive classroom culture
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction tailored to students' academic, social, and emotional needs
- Develop and maintain individualized education plans (IEPs), tracking student progress and adjusting strategies as needed
- Foster a structured and nurturing classroom setting, encouraging student independence and self-advocacy
- Implement behavioral interventions and positive reinforcement strategies to support student development
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and school staff to ensure an integrated approach to student success
- Engage regularly with families, providing updates and guidance to further support each child’s progression
