Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Moderate to Severe Special Education Teaching license
- Proven experience working with K–8 students in a special education setting
- Deep understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and their implementation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with staff, families, and students
- Ability to employ differentiated instructional strategies to meet varied learning needs
- Organizational skills and adaptability to manage a dynamic caseload
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive instruction and support to special education students across K–8 grade levels
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to individual student requirements
- Work closely with general education teachers and support staff to ensure student progress and inclusion
- Adapt lesson plans and materials to accommodate learning differences and promote academic success
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and progress
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student development and ongoing needs
- Create a positive, nurturing environment that promotes self-advocacy and independence
