Exciting contract opportunity for a dedicated Special Education Teacher who thrives in a preschool early intervention setting. This role is based in a consistent, daily location, providing stability and focus throughout the duration of the assignment. You’ll play an essential part in supporting young learners, collaborating closely with families and colleagues to deliver highly individualized care and instruction.
This position is set to begin at the end of September 2026 and continues through mid-August 2027, working standard school week hours. As the classroom location does not rotate, you’ll have the advantage of building rapport within a single setting each day.
Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Holds current, active state licensure as required for Special Education in Pennsylvania
- Experience working in a preschool or early intervention setting highly preferred
- Deep understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) for preschool learners
- Strong collaboration skills; able to communicate effectively with parents, support staff, and related service providers
- Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate a variety of developmental needs
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for all students in your classroom
- Create a warm, inclusive, and structured environment conducive to learning and growth
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies tailored to preschool-aged children with diverse abilities
- Partner with families, therapists, and support staff to ensure consistent progress and holistic support
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state requirements
