Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification in Special Education required; Autism Specialist credentials strongly preferred
- Experience working with elementary-aged children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a classroom setting
- Knowledge of research-based instructional strategies for ASD
- Ability to design IEPs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong skills in maintaining a structured, supportive classroom environment
- Effective communication with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized, research-based instruction to students with ASD
- Assess student progress and adapt plans to meet evolving needs
- Collaborate regularly with support staff, therapists, and paraprofessionals
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with legal/school guidelines
