Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license required
- Experience working with moderate to severe special education populations is highly preferred
- Previous school-based or classroom experience as a Special Education Teacher
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet diverse learning needs
- Commitment to fostering a safe, encouraging, and inclusive environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to support student learning and growth
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction in both individual and small group settings
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, behaviors, and achievements
- Collaborate with general education staff, support personnel, and families to ensure comprehensive support for every student
- Uphold compliance with state and federal special education regulations
- Provide classroom management tailored to students’ unique needs, emphasizing respect and positivity
