This contract opportunity offers the chance to work directly with children ages 3–5, conduct comprehensive bilingual evaluations, and collaborate closely with a cross-functional team serving multiple campuses in the Thornton and Broomfield areas. From assessment through intervention planning, your expertise will help foster inclusive learning environments for students starting their educational journeys.
Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education Teaching License with Early Childhood Special Education endorsement.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, with experience in bilingual evaluations.
- Background in Early Childhood Special Education or as a school psychologist.
- Ability to manage a flexible caseload and travel between school sites.
- Completion of a district contractor packet prior to assignment start.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluations and services at both North Star Elementary and Centennial Elementary, with potential for district-wide assessments.
- Conduct thorough, culturally responsive evaluations as part of the Bilingual Child Find Evaluation Team.
- Collaborate with teachers, psychologists, families, and district staff to create meaningful education plans.
- Maintain organized records and meet deadlines for reports and interventions.
- Adapt to evolving caseloads, contributing to innovation in assessment and service delivery.
