What we’re seeking:
- Valid, current Michigan Special Education teaching certificate (CI or ASD endorsement required)
- Previous experience in special education settings, preferably with ASD or CI populations
- Strong ability to adapt instruction according to students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Effective communication and teamwork skills with colleagues, families, and support staff
- Dedication to fostering inclusive, engaging, and positive classroom environments
Key responsibilities you’ll embrace:
- Plan and deliver differentiated instruction tailored to students’ unique learning needs
- Implement and maintain IEPs, assessing student progress and adjusting instruction as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Engage in parent communication and IEP meetings to ensure a united approach to student success
- Document and report on student performance and growth appropriately
This full-time position runs from August 24, 2026, through June 4, 2027, supporting both ASD/CI elementary classroom caseloads and a resource room. The location is easily accessible to the Livonia area.
