This full-time contract opportunity is designed for a compassionate educator who thrives in a collaborative environment, working alongside two paraprofessionals to serve students with developmental delays. With a mix of general and adapted curriculum, the classroom includes four kindergarteners and five first graders, ensuring a dynamic and rewarding teaching experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized instruction based on IEP goals and accommodations.
- Provide effective behavioral interventions and employ positive behavior support strategies.
- Collaborate regularly with administrators, related service providers, families, and support staff to foster holistic student development.
- Monitor academic and behavioral progress while maintaining thorough compliance documentation.
- Differentiate instruction across reading, math, science, language arts, and social studies.
- Ensure a safe, structured, and encouraging classroom environment for all learners.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Georgia Special Education Adapted Curriculum Certification.
- Credentials covering all academic content areas (Reading, Math, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies).
- Proven expertise in writing and implementing IEPs.
- Strong classroom management and knowledge of behavior intervention strategies.
- Ability to provide three references, including a recent supervisory reference (e.g., principal, assistant principal, coordinator).
