Special Education Teacher - Longmont, Colorado

Step into an engaging opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a resource classroom setting at a dynamic middle school in the Longmont, CO area. This full-time, onsite role spans the entire academic year, making a meaningful impact from August 2026 through May 2027. You’ll work closely with a collaborative team and provide essential support to students with diverse learning needs in a positive and inclusive environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Hold or be actively in the process of obtaining a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license for Special Education (must provide documentation with your application)
- Minimum of one year of classroom experience preferred, ideally in a special education setting
- Strong commitment to teamwork and adaptability within a school environment
- Passion for fostering inclusive learning and advancing each student’s success
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instructional support to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in a resource classroom environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and parents to implement IEP goals and accommodations
- Maintain accurate records and data tracking in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings by offering expert recommendations and progress updates
- Utilize research-based instructional strategies tailored to individual student needs
- Foster a positive, respectful, and supportive classroom atmosphere
