Special Education Teacher - Longmont, CO

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting students in a dynamic, resource-rich middle school environment. This full-time, onsite contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to help learners in grades 6–8 reach their potential through individualized education plans, collaboration, and dedicated support. The assignment runs from August 2026 to May 2027, ensuring the chance to build strong relationships with your students over the course of the academic year.
Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in a classroom-based special education setting
- An active CDE license or evidence of being actively in the process (required for interview consideration)
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a flexible, collaborative team
- Strong communication skills for interacting with students, families, and colleagues
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instructional support and interventions to students on your caseload, implementing IEP goals with integrity
- Adapt lessons and materials to meet the diverse learning needs of students
- Work closely with other educators, specialists, and support staff to promote student success
- Monitor progress, maintain documentation, and communicate regularly with families and faculty
- Engage in ongoing professional development and best practice sharing
- Maintain a positive, proactive attitude in the resource room setting
