Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Department of Education Special Education Teacher (SPED) licensure
- Experience working with students who require significant support, preferably in an elementary environment
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with fellow educators, specialists, and families
- Compassionate, patient, and flexible mindset
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and classroom support for students with significant support needs
- Develop, implement, and manage individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed to foster academic and developmental growth
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and safe learning environment
- Partner with colleagues and support staff to create cohesive intervention plans
- Communicate proactively with families regarding student progress, challenges, and goals
