Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching credential in Special Education
- Experience with any of the following: Early Childhood, Pre-K, Kindergarten, Grades K–5, Grades 6–8, Grades 9–12
- Knowledgeable in adapting math and fundamental curriculum for varying abilities
- Comfortable collaborating with classroom teachers, support staff, and families
- Empathetic, flexible, and dedicated to fostering student independence
- Strong skills in developing and implementing IEPs
- Excellent organization, communication, and classroom management abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support in math and other core academic areas
- Modify curriculum and teaching methods to meet students’ diverse needs
- Develop and oversee Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Work closely with colleagues, administrators, and families to maximize student success
- Foster an accepting, encouraging, and growth-focused learning environment
- Track and report on student progress, adapting strategies as needed
- Participate in professional development and collaborative planning sessions
