Seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher with experience across multiple grade levels to make a positive impact in a vibrant school environment near Los Angeles, CA. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current teaching certification in Special Education
- Previous experience working with students in grades Pre-K through 12th grade
- Strong background in developing and adapting math curriculum for diverse learners
- Excellent communication abilities to collaborate with staff, families, and support personnel
- Skilled in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and tracking progress
- Familiarity with current special education best practices and strategies
- Flexibility to work with students across various grade bands, including Early Childhood, Elementary (K-5), Middle (6-8), and High School (9-12)
- Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality math instruction and support to students with a range of learning needs
- Develop lesson plans tailored to individual strengths, challenges, and goals
- Implement, monitor, and update IEPs, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations
- Work closely with general education teachers and other specialists to promote student success
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to update them on student progress
- Create a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to meet the needs of all learners
