Special Education Teacher - Lynn, Massachusetts

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current and valid DSE Severe licensure required
- Experience working with children who have severe disabilities and complex medical needs preferred
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting curriculum for unique learners
- Comfortable providing instruction, care, and behavioral support for young students, ages PK-2nd Grade
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, therapists, families, and medical teams
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to fostering growth and independence
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specially designed instruction and interventions customized for students with significant cognitive and health-related needs
- Develop and implement effective IEPs, tracking student progress and updating goals as needed
- Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, specialists, nurses, and families to provide holistic care and maximize student engagement
- Support the physical, emotional, and behavioral needs of students, including assistance with medical protocols and mobility
- Create a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and celebrates each child's achievements
