Make a meaningful difference working as a Special Education Teacher supporting elementary students on a contract position near Lynn, MA. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through June 2027, with a consistent full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active special education teaching credential
- Demonstrated experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to design and implement effective individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Committed to fostering an uplifting and supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to students’ individual needs
- Develop and implement IEPs in partnership with parents and school team
- Manage classroom behavior to create a respectful and productive atmosphere
- Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and other support staff
- Maintain accurate records and communicate student growth with families
