Responsibilities:
- Deliver special education instructional services tailored to elementary students’ IEPs.
- Manage a caseload of students, ensuring all documentation and student records are maintained accurately and confidentially.
- Develop, modify, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide ongoing communication and consultation with families, staff, and service providers.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies to meet evolving needs.
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Participate in professional development and compliance activities as required.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Special Education Teacher (appropriate state licensure required or eligibility to obtain).
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Experience working with elementary students within a special education setting.
- Skilled in managing IEPs and case files; strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team while advocating for students’ unique needs.
