Special Education Teacher | Maple Grove, Minnesota

A contract opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in DCD support. You’ll help shape the academic journey of approximately nine students, working onsite and collaborating with dedicated professionals in an inclusive school setting.

Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or 4 required)
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, ideally working with students with cognitive disabilities
- Strong knowledge of instructional strategies tailored to diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
- Up-to-date resume and current MN Teaching Certification must be submitted to be considered
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Adapt lessons to meet diverse academic, behavioral, and social needs
- Collaborate with general education staff, other specialists, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Track student progress and provide necessary documentation
- Offer guidance, encouragement, and interventions based on each student’s needs
- Create a positive and structured classroom climate
This contract runs from late August 2026 through early June 2027, with a regular schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, roughly 8:30 am – 4:30 pm including a 30-minute lunch break.
