This contract position focuses on serving as a Special Education Teacher, working closely with a diverse group of learners in a supportive school community near Maple Grove, MN.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and adaptations
- Experience working in Setting III/centerbase programs
- Skilled at collaborating with related service providers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to fostering growth and independence in students with varying needs
- Ability to implement evidence-based interventions and manage diverse caseloads
Role Details & Responsibilities:
- Start date: August 31, 2026; End date: June 10, 2027
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
- Provide direct instruction and behavioral support within the LAUNCH Setting III/centerbase program
- Develop, adapt, and assess instructional materials tailored to individual student needs
- Monitor progress, document student achievement, and regularly update IEPs
- Communicate regularly with families, staff, and administration to ensure consistent student support
- Participate in professional meetings, training, and ongoing professional development
