Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current Special Education Teacher certification (appropriate for the state)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Previous experience working in a school or educational setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and other professionals
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education plans tailored to students’ unique needs
- Adapt instructional materials and methods to meet diverse learning styles
- Work closely with classroom teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure cohesive educational support
- Track student progress, document outcomes, and adjust strategies as needed
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student achievements and goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and other professional development sessions
