This assignment involves supporting high school students in a Cognitive Impairment classroom. With two positions available, you’ll work in a collaborative environment that values diverse perspectives and innovative teaching.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active Michigan Special Education Teacher license (required—please include a screenshot of your credential)
- Experience or strong interest in special education, particularly with cognitive impairments
- Enthusiasm for working with high school age groups
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to travel assignments and adaptability to new environments
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to high school students with cognitive impairments
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, administrators, and families
- Collect and maintain accurate student progress data
- Create a supportive, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
