Desired Background & Skills:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience teaching one or more of the following: Kindergarten, 1st–12th Grade, Pre-K/Early Childhood, Middle School, or High School
- Ability to develop and adapt curriculum for students with diverse needs—including Math instruction
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring
- Compassion and patience when working with children of varying abilities and backgrounds
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lessons tailored for students in a range of grade levels and special education settings
- Assess student progress and adapt instruction based on individual needs and IEP goals
- Coordinate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Implement evidence-based strategies for behavior management and academic growth
- Take part in IEP meetings and help with developing targeted education plans
