Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Current or eligible Professional Educator’s Certificate in Primary/Elementary Education, ESE
- Bachelor’s degree in education, early childhood, special education, or a related discipline
- Reading Endorsement and ESOL credentials, or willingness to enroll and obtain them
- Completion of the Department of Children & Family Child Care Training
- Strong command of verbal and written English; bilingual in English/Spanish highly valued
- Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and internet research
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging academic and social skills instruction tailored to each student’s unique needs, interests, learning styles, and backgrounds
- Foster an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment that encourages growth and development
- Collaborate with parents, support staff, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure students achieve their IEP goals
- Step in as a back-up for the director when required, demonstrating leadership and problem-solving skills
- Utilize technology and creative strategies to enhance learning experiences
