Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged students
- Familiarity with the inclusion classroom model and ability to provide differentiated instruction
- Experience managing moderate caseloads and developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, students, and families
- Commitment to fostering an engaging, supportive, and inclusive learning atmosphere
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and implement instructional strategies tailored to diverse learners within an inclusion setting
- Develop, monitor, and update IEPs in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Provide direct support and individualized interventions for students with special needs
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers and support staff to adapt curriculum and materials
- Track student progress, maintain records, and communicate regularly with families and team members
- Participate in professional development and contribute to a positive school culture
