Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Valid teaching certification and state licensure in Special Education
- Experience working with elementary, middle, or high school students preferred
- Deep understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Strong collaboration skills to work with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies for diverse learning needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in a school-based Special Education setting is highly desirable
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide differentiated instruction and behavioral support to students with exceptionalities
- Work closely with general education teachers and support staff as a collaborative team
- Conduct ongoing assessments and track student progress
- Create a positive, supportive classroom that fosters growth and respect
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student achievements and needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary discussions
