Qualifications & Experience:
- Active certification as a Special Education teacher in Wisconsin
- Strong background in working with students with diverse learning needs (K-12)
- Prior experience developing, implementing, and managing IEPs
- Proficient in adapting instruction and curriculum to suit individual needs
- Demonstrated flexibility—able to excel in self-contained, inclusion, resource, or co-teaching models
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- A positive attitude, growth mindset, and an unwavering work ethic
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to meet the wide-ranging needs of students with disabilities
- Develop, review, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Foster an inclusive, respectful classroom climate that encourages student independence and self-advocacy
- Coordinate with general education staff and related service providers to maximize student outcomes in various instructional settings
- Maintain accurate, consistent documentation and progress reports
- Actively participate in IEP and team meetings, contributing insights and advocating effectively for students
- Support families and caregivers with ongoing communication and guidance
