Special Education Teacher | Minneapolis, Minnesota

Multiple roles are open for dedicated Special Education Teachers, with assignments beginning as soon as possible through June 2027. Full-time and part-time positions are available across several settings. You’ll be working in collaborative environments with manageable caseloads (approximately 20 students per full-time position) and strong support from paraprofessionals and behavioral aides. Early childhood specialists will also have opportunities for at-home visits to ensure young learners receive the support they need in the best setting for their development.
Ideal candidates possess:
- An active Minnesota teaching license (Special Education required)
- Experience designing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Adaptability to both classroom and, for early childhood roles, in-home settings
- Commitment to supporting inclusion, social-emotional growth, and academic achievement

- Develop and execute effective instructional strategies tailored to each student
- Work collaboratively with paras, behavior aides, and educational teams
- Collect and utilize data to monitor student progress and adjust plans as needed
- Build positive relationships with students, families, and support staff
- For early childhood roles, conduct home visits and provide family-centered support
