Multiple contract positions are currently open, with immediate start dates and opportunities through June 2027. Openings include full-time and part-time roles across elementary, middle, and early childhood levels, providing both classroom and community-based support.
Desired Background:
- Current and active Minnesota teaching license required
- Certification and experience in special education teaching strongly preferred
- Capacity to manage caseloads of around 20 students, with support from paraeducators and behavioral aides
- Comfort collaborating within a team-focused environment
- Flexibility to work at multiple sites and adapt to varying student needs
- For early childhood roles: Willingness and ability to conduct home visits
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique abilities and needs
- Foster inclusive, supportive classroom environments
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders
- Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student growth
- Attend all required meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities
Opportunities Available:
- Five total openings, including:
- Full-time positions at RiverEast Day School and Highland Park Middle School (student caseloads supported by additional staff)
- Part-time opportunities at Highland Park Elementary and an additional site (2-3 days/week)
- Early childhood special education with some home visits required
