Special Education Teacher - Minneapolis, MN
Be a driving force in the lives of K–2 students as a Developmental Cognitive Disabilities Teacher in a supportive special education environment. This full-time opportunity near Minneapolis begins late February and extends through early June 2027, offering stability and a multi-year commitment. You'll play a vital role at an elementary campus, working with a manageable caseload of approximately ten students in a collaborative and nurturing setting.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching License (with DCD or similar endorsement preferred)
- Experience working with students exhibiting developmental cognitive disabilities, particularly in grades K–2
- Knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies and IEP development
- Organized, patient, and creative approach to differentiated lesson planning
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with support staff and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized instruction tailored to K–2 learners with cognitive disabilities
- Develop, monitor, and revise IEPs to ensure each child’s unique needs are met
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom climate that encourages growth and participation
- Collaborate closely with general education staff, related service providers, and families
- Track progress and document student achievements and ongoing needs
