Special Education Teacher | Minneapolis, Minnesota

Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience or strong interest in working with high school students (grades 9-12)
- Commitment to individualized instruction and resource support
- Organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs
- Collaborative approach with educational teams and families
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct special education instruction, adapting lessons and materials to students’ abilities
- Maintain regular documentation and progress reporting on student performance
- Develop, update, and implement IEPs in compliance with educational guidelines
- Foster an inclusive resource classroom environment
- Work closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Engage parents and guardians in students’ educational journeys
- Support transitions and advocacy for students’ academic and social-emotional needs
