Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Minnesota teaching license required
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher strongly preferred
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
- Solid classroom management and instructional adaptation skills
- Excellent communication with students, families, and staff
- Flexible attitude, comfortable with evolving student needs and school priorities
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction according to student IEPs within a therapeutic day school
- Work collaboratively with related service providers, families, and staff
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, behavior, and lesson plans
- Contribute to the creation and revision of IEPs, participating in meetings as needed
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere that promotes student growth
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet a diverse range of learners
