Key Qualifications:
- Active Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Experience working with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders in school settings
- Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention strategies
- Ability to build rapport and motivate students with a variety of learning needs
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Must provide a current resume and copy of teaching license for consideration
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with emotional and behavioral needs in accordance with their IEPs
- Collaborate with counselors, support staff, and classroom teachers to provide holistic care and learning opportunities
- Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to teaching strategies
- Develop and implement effective positive behavior support plans
- Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
- Communicate regularly with families and advocate for student success
