This position begins August 2026 and concludes May 2027, offering a reliable, full-time schedule with hours from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. With a caseload of 10-20 students and placement in locations tailored to your skills and strengths, you’ll collaborate with dedicated professionals to deliver high-quality education and individualized care.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active state Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility for certification before the assignment start date)
- Experience in early childhood education and a strong background in PreK special education settings
- Comfort adapting instruction to varied learning styles and needs
- Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, families, and administrators
- Commitment to evidence-based teaching strategies and individualized learning plans
- Excellent organizational, communication, and record-keeping abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for a diverse PreK caseload
- Create engaging, differentiated lesson plans that foster growth and inclusion
- Conduct ongoing assessments and document student progress
- Collaborate closely with support staff, related service providers, and families
- Maintain compliance with district and state special education laws
- Travel to assigned school sites as needed
