Special Education Teacher - Minturn, CO
Make a meaningful impact in early childhood education as a contracted Special Education Teacher in a dynamic, supportive environment. This position offers the unique opportunity to support PreK students across multiple sites, contributing to positive student outcomes. Working with a caseload of 10-20 students, you will play a crucial role in fostering growth, development, and learning in young children.
This full-time role runs from August 10, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with a consistent Monday to Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. Your assignment will be determined by your skills and experience, ensuring the best fit across district locations.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching credentials (required)
- Experience working with early childhood or PreK populations
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and individualized instruction strategies
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet students’ diverse needs
- Commitment to supporting inclusive education environments
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to PreK students with special needs
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Manage and organize resources for multiple classroom settings
