- Providing individualized instruction for PreK students with diverse learning needs, supporting growth and development within inclusive early childhood environments
- Developing and implementing IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Collaborating with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to promote student progress
- Assessing student abilities and adapting materials for differentiated instruction
- Maintaining accurate, up-to-date documentation of student progress and program compliance
- Creating a safe and welcoming classroom environment that fosters emotional and academic growth
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Active teaching credential in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain in Colorado)
- Previous experience teaching early childhood-age students, preferably within a PreK or special education setting
- Strong understanding of IEP development, data collection, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with colleagues and families
- Adaptability and willingness to work across multiple school sites within the district
This full-time contract position follows a Monday through Friday schedule, from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, aligning with the school calendar from August 10, 2026, through May 28, 2027. Serving a caseload of approximately 10–20 PreK students ensures a focused environment for meaningful, individualized teaching.
