What we’re looking for:
- Indiana Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility)
- Experience or enthusiasm for teaching 8th-grade students
- Ability to support all disability areas in an inclusive setting
- Skilled in creating, implementing, and maintaining IEPs (⅓ of IEPs already conferenced)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Dedication to promoting student success in a team-focused atmosphere
Role responsibilities:
- Deliver dynamic instruction and support to a caseload of 24 students with all disabilities
- Provide services primarily in inclusive classroom settings
- Develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with federal and state requirements
- Participate in parent meetings, team conferences, and professional development
This position offers a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, with school hours from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and contract hours spanning approximately 8:35 am to 4:10 pm.
