The current classroom serves students in grades 3-6, but flexibility to assist students across K-8 is a plus. The class consists of nine remarkable learners who receive instruction in a dedicated setting throughout the full school day, ensuring continuity and stability.
Your strong support system includes four classroom aides and dedicated full-time ABA support, all working collaboratively to foster an engaging, positive, and inclusive environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification
- Experience working in a self-contained or similar classroom setting
- Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Ability to differentiate instruction for a range of abilities within mild to moderate settings
- Familiarity with behavioral interventions and collaboration with ABA professionals
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Compassion, adaptability, and enthusiasm for supporting diverse learning needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized lessons aligned with students’ IEP goals
- Collaborate closely with aides and ABA professionals to implement strategies and interventions
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed to promote growth
- Create a structured, supportive class environment that encourages participation and success
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with families and staff
- Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development across all activities
