Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching license or certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students from Early Childhood through High School, including elementary, middle, and high school settings
- Strong background in designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Familiarity with differentiated instruction and a variety of learning accommodations
- Ability to teach core academic subjects, especially Math, to varying age groups and abilities
- Collaborative mindset for working with fellow educators, support staff, and families
- Passion for creating an inclusive, nurturing classroom culture
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and adapt lesson plans tailored to each student’s needs, strengths, and goals
- Provide direct instruction in Math and other core subjects, adjusting for a range of learning styles
- Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust instructional strategies as necessary
- Create and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and staff members
- Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and team planning sessions
- Uphold all school policies and special education regulations within assigned grades
