In this role, you’ll work within a supportive environment that includes a Teaching Assistant, a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), and access to a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) on campus, ensuring you have the resources needed to help every student succeed.
What You’ll Need:
- Active South Carolina State Licensure as a Special Education Teacher (Multi-Categorical Licensure highly preferred)
- Demonstrated experience teaching elementary-aged students with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder
- Comfortable managing classroom behaviors and creating individualized learning plans
- Proven ability to collaborate and communicate with support staff, families, and administrators
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction tailored to the needs of students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Foster an inclusive, positive, and structured classroom environment
- Track student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Collaborate with Teaching Assistants, RBTs, and the BCBA to ensure best practices and continuity of care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
