In this contract-based position, your daily work will directly impact students by implementing individualized education plans, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and fostering an inclusive learning environment. Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Special Education certification required)
- Valid teaching license for Special Education
- Experience working with students in grades K-5, 6-8, and/or 9-12
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage diverse classroom needs and adapt instruction accordingly
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to student needs
- Provide direct instruction in academic and functional skill areas
- Adapt curriculum to accommodate individual learning styles and abilities
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate with families and school staff
- Create a positive, safe, and supportive classroom environment
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff trainings, and ongoing professional development
