Special Education Teacher - Nazareth, Pennsylvania

Exciting contract opportunities are available for dedicated Special Education Teachers to make a difference across Carbon and Lehigh counties. You’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality education and support, serving a geographic area to fill in for absences or take on extended assignments as needed. This position follows the school calendar, running from August 2026 through June 2027, with a weekly 35-hour commitment.
Key Qualifications:
- Possession of an active Pennsylvania teaching license
- Valid Pennsylvania PDE Certification in Special Education (Experience-Based Certificate PK-12, Instructional I, or Instructional II in relevant subject areas)
- Professional experience supporting students within special education environments
- Proven ability to participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- In-person availability; remote work is not offered for these roles
- Willingness to travel within either Carbon County or Lehigh County to meet coverage needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction and support to students across various educational sites, adapting seamlessly between locations
- Step in to cover absences and leaves, occasionally committing to extended coverage when necessary
- Collaborate with school-based teams, contributing your expertise towards IEP goals and learning strategies
- Deliver consistent, compassionate service in diverse special education settings
- Maintain punctual, professional attendance at assigned locations
