This full-time opportunity is perfect for a Special Education Teacher ready to engage students in grades 3-5 within a Social Emotional Behavior (SEB) classroom. You’ll work in person, providing individualized instruction and behavioral support within a caring school community. This contract position runs until October, with the potential for extension.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification (or eligibility for, based on state requirements)
- Demonstrated experience or training in social-emotional learning, positive behavioral interventions, or classroom management
- Ability to adapt instruction and interventions to diverse learning profiles and behavioral needs
- Strong collaboration skills for partnering with school staff, counselors, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and structured classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver individualized and small group instruction tailored to IEPs in a grades 3-5 SEB classroom
- Implement evidence-based behavioral and academic interventions focused on social-emotional development
- Track student progress, maintain thorough documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to maximize student success
- Foster positive relationships with students, modeling effective self-regulation and conflict resolution strategies
- Maintain consistent communication with families to support each child’s growth and development
Position Highlights:
- Full-time: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday (8:20 AM to 3:40 PM)
