Special Education Teacher - New Britain, CT

Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Connecticut Special Education (SPED) license and relevant certification required
- Strong, recent experience in school-based special education settings
- Familiarity with multiple disabilities, autism, and inclusive education practices
- Background in IEP planning and implementation
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for working across K-12 grades
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with families, staff, and administrators
- References available to complete the hiring process
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to meet IEP goals
- Use evidence-based strategies to foster academic and social-emotional growth
- Collaborate with general educators and related service providers
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
- Participate in team meetings, evaluations, and parent conferences
