The contract spans from August 2026 through June 2027, with hours scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:45 am – 3:15 pm.
What You’ll Need:
- Valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate in Special Education
- Proven experience teaching or supporting students with autism or similar learning needs
- Up-to-date Pennsylvania clearances (or willingness to secure them promptly)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Adaptable approach to instructional methods, as the assignment or room may shift
- Collaborative attitude for working alongside fellow educators and support staff
Your Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver individualized and group instruction for students in Autistic Support settings
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s goals and abilities
- Monitor progress, maintain thorough documentation, and participate actively in team meetings
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary team members regarding student growth
- Participate in pre-service trainings as required by the Intermediate Unit
