Special Education Teacher - New Rochelle, NY

Desired Skills and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification for New York State
- Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher in a high school setting
- Knowledge and application of ABA strategies in classroom environments
- Strong classroom management skills and adaptability
- Clear communication abilities when working with students, families, and school staff
- Collaborative spirit for participation in IEP development and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Use evidence-based ABA techniques to promote academic, social, and behavioral progress
- Collect and analyze student data to adjust interventions as necessary
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Maintain detailed documentation on student progress and interventions
- Liaise with parents, instructional staff, and related service providers to monitor and communicate student development
- Ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines for Special Education
