Special Education Teacher | New Windsor, New York

Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid New York State Special Education Teacher Certification in the appropriate grade level
- Master’s degree in Education (MA required)
- Previous experience in special education or inclusive learning environments preferred
- Strong communication, classroom management, and teamwork skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom culture
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and administration
- Design and adapt curriculum, assessments, and teaching strategies
- Engage families in students’ progress and provide regular updates
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulations
- Contribute positively to the school community and participate in team meetings
