What We’re Looking For:
- Active Delaware Special Education Teaching license is required
- Experience working with elementary-aged students on the autism spectrum preferred
- Understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and individualized instruction
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families
- Dedication to positive behavioral support strategies and inclusive education
- Willingness to comply with district requirements, including $85 CBC fingerprinting (must confirm agreement before submission)
What You’ll Do:
- Provide engaging, individualized instruction for a caseload of students with autism
- Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and create accessible learning opportunities
- Develop, implement, and assess IEP goals in cooperation with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and compliance documentation
- Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere encouraging independence and academic growth
- Participate in staff meetings, parent conferences, and professional development initiatives
